LONG-TERM VIBRATION AND STRUCTURE-BORNE NOISE PROTECTION

🚆 Amsterdam's historic Central Station and tracks will undergo extensive renovation over the next ten years.

The aim is to cope with the considerable increase in the number of passengers in the coming years and to accommodate the increased volume of travellers while ensuring maximum travel comfort. In future, 40% more passengers and 25 additional trains per hour should be able to be handled.
💪 The challenge of the project lies in the fact that the station must remain open throughout the work with minimal disruption to passengers, which requires uncomplicated and fast installation of the elastic bearing. On the other hand, effective vibration and structure-borne noise protection must be provided for the underground shops and bicycle parking spaces.

🛤️ Calenberg's Ciprotec MSS 2022 was implemented to meet ProRail's requirements and ensure the planned intensive use of the track. The required stiffness of the track was met. In addition, the Calenberg solution also ensured a long service life, long-term protection of the track superstructure and optimum vibration protection. MSS 2022 (REFS) is a high-quality elastic element for mass-spring systems (floating track systems), made from PU-bonded rubber fibres. It combines technical performance, cost-effectiveness and 🌱 environmental friendliness in one product. This paves the way for enhanced and disruption-free travel comfort in the future. 💼
